About Lori Brizee

Lori is a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist, and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. She provides nutrition and diabetes consultation for infants, children and teens at the office of Erika Beard-Irvine MD Pediatrics in Bend. She teaches nutrition at OSU Cascades. Lori started her career in Seattle where she spent 20 years working at Seattle Children's Hospital and Medical Center. While there she focused on nutrition for children with special healthcare needs, and mentored many nutrition students and new dietitians. She moved to Bend, Oregon in 2006 and started Central Oregon Nutrition Consultants, working with clients of all ages with nutrition concerns and diabetes. Throughout her career, Lori has written articles on nutrition for professional and lay publications. She has been a speaker at many professional conferences and gatherings. She continues to be available to write and speak on nutrition and diabetes topics. Lori is married to Bob Brydges and has two adult children, Suzanne and Michael Brydges. She and her family enjoy skiing, biking and hiking together. Lori also enjoys swimming, cooking, bread baking and reading.
